Description

John Knox (1514-1572) was a Scottish minister, Reformed theologian, and writer who was a leader of the country’s Reformation. He was the founder of the Presbyterian Church of Scotland.

This fine art print of the original oil portrait of John Knox by Mike Mahon was commissioned for the cover of the 2011 edition of the “Confessional Presbyterian”. It was based on a black and white drawing by 18th century artist Sir David Wilkie. It is hanging along with other Mike Mahon original paintings of Reformation theologians and ministers in the board room of Greenville Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Greenville, South Carolina.
