Description
John Calvin (1509-1564). He wrote the Institutes of the Christian Religion (1536) and is the name sake of the theology coming out of the Protestant reformation, i.e, Calvinism. Calvinism of God and Salvation by Grace alone through faith alone.

It is hanging along with other Mike Mahon original paintings of Reformation theologians and ministers in the board room of Greenville Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Greenville, South Carolina.
